CUNY's experienced faculty make online learning a rich experience. They will help you master new skills and introduce you to new and exciting sources of knowledge. They will also link you to other students through internet-based communication. You’ll be part of a dynamic virtual community, interacting with others in discussion groups and online forums, and taking advantage of abundant electronic resources
An online course is at least as rigorous and rewarding as one held in a classroom. You should expect to devote at least as much time to covering the material and interacting with your instructor and your classmates as you would expect to in any classroom-based course.
The presentation below will walk you through a typical
online course at the CUNY School of Professional Studies
and give you a better understanding about what to expect
in an online learning environment.
Netiquette
The School of Professional Studies Academic Advisement
Center has put together a Netiquette
Guide to introduce online students to an essential
aspect of the online learning experience – netiquette: etiquette
on the internet. Whether you are new to online
learning, completed online coursework in the past,
or have experience posting in online discussion
boards – please review this guide carefully
and thoroughly before posting.
